Digital Business Cards for Companies in Saudi Arabia: The Complete 2026 Guide
A company digital business card is not a paper card on a screen: it belongs to the business, carries its identity, saves to the customer’s phone in one press, and stays with the company when the employee leaves. What to know before you choose.

A company digital business card is a web page for each employee, carrying their name, title and numbers in the company’s identity. A customer opens it by scanning a QR code, tapping an NFC card or following a link, and saves the contact to their phone in one press — no app. For a company, the question that matters is not how the card looks but who owns it: does your logo stay consistent on every card, and do the customers’ numbers stay with the business when the employee leaves?
This guide covers how the card works, what to check before you choose, how to roll it out to your team in a day, and what it costs.
What exactly is a digital business card?
It is what the paper card was trying to be. One page with the employee’s photo, name and title, and buttons that work: call, WhatsApp, e-mail, a location on the map, the company’s accounts. At the top, a “Save contact” button puts all of it into the other person’s phone as it is, without typing a letter.
It differs from paper in three ways:
- It never runs out and is never reprinted. A new number, a new title, a new branch? It changes on the card, and the printed QR code and the card in someone’s pocket stay valid.
- It is saved, not lost. A paper card ends up in a drawer; a digital one ends up in the customer’s contacts.
- It is measured. You see how often each employee’s card was opened, how often it was saved, and how many numbers it collected.
How does it work in the moment?
The customer is in front of you, and you have four ways depending on the situation:
- QR code: on your screen or printed on a card; the customer points their camera at it. No scanner app — the camera is enough.
- An NFC tap: a card with a small battery-free chip; the employee holds it near the customer’s phone and the card appears. The fastest option face to face — details on the NFC cards page.
- The phone wallet: the card lives in the employee’s Apple or Google Wallet and shows its QR code from there.
- The link: in a WhatsApp message or an e-mail signature.
At an exhibition with no signal, the QR code has an “offline” mode that saves the contact straight to the customer’s phone.
A card for a person, or a system for a company?
This is where choices split. Personal digital card apps are excellent for one person designing their own card. With ten or a hundred employees, the gaps show:
- Every employee picks their own colours and wording, and the company shows up with ten faces.
- The company number changes, and you chase ten accounts to fix it.
- An employee leaves, their card stays in customers’ phones under your name, and the numbers of everyone they met stay on their phone.
A card built for companies reverses that. In AurCard, for example, the logo, colours and company details are shown on every card from the company page itself and locked, so a new address reaches every employee at once. The employee completes what is theirs — photo, title, numbers — and their edit goes to a manager before it is published. The day they leave, one press stops their card.
What to check before you choose
A short list that separates a pretty card from a system that serves the company:
- Identity locked by the company: can an employee change the logo or the company name? They should not be able to.
- Approval of edits: do you see what goes out under your name before a customer does?
- Stopping on the last day: what does the employee’s link show after they leave, and where do the numbers they collected go?
- Save in one press: a real button that adds the name, numbers and company details — not just a page of links.
- Arabic first: a right-to-left interface, and a page that opens in the visitor’s own phone language.
- NFC, QR and wallet together: because every meeting is different.
- Analytics per employee: to know which exhibition and which rep paid off.
- A page for the company itself: employee cards complement your business page; they do not replace it.
- Payment and invoice: in riyals, with mada and Apple Pay, and an invoice after every payment.
How to roll it out to your team in one day
Morning — the company page. Register the business and choose its activity, categories and city; its page is built with the sections your field needs. Set the logo, colours, address and contact numbers once — every card reads from there.
Midday — the employees. Add them one by one or with a bulk invitation, and place each in their branch, department and role: owner, admin, manager or member. Each card is created in the company identity from the first moment.
Afternoon — each employee completes their card. Photo, bio and numbers, in an editor on the card itself. Their edits reach you as one request per card, approved or rejected in a press. A small, trusted team can switch approval off in the settings.
Evening — distribution. Each employee adds their card to their phone wallet, you print the QR code wherever you like, and you program NFC cards with each card’s link if you want them. The link is permanent, so what you print today stays valid whatever you change.
What does a company digital business card cost?
In AurCard you do not buy cards one at a time: the subscription is for the business and includes its page and a number of employee seats. Business Basic is 549 SAR a year (about 46 SAR a month), Business Pro is 899 SAR a year for a larger team and more branches, and each employee beyond the included seats is added with their card for 179 SAR a year.
Billing is yearly, in Saudi riyals including VAT in Saudi Arabia and in US dollars outside it, by mada, Apple Pay or credit card, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. The numbers included in each plan are on the pricing page.
Common mistakes when switching
- Letting each employee design their own card. Each looks fine alone; together the company looks scattered.
- Typing the WhatsApp number without the country code. The button needs the full number to work from any phone.
- Printing a QR code that points to a temporary link. Print the card’s permanent link, not a shortener that may expire.
- Distributing without measuring. If you never look at the analytics after the first exhibition, you are repeating paper in a nicer form.
Employee cards start on the digital business card page, and what you need to run a whole team is under team management.
Frequently asked questions
Does the customer need an app to open a digital business card?
No. The phone camera reads the QR code, the card opens in the browser, and saving the contact happens on the phone itself. An NFC card opens with a tap on modern phones.
Can I edit the card after the QR code is printed?
Yes. The QR code points to a permanent link and the content behind it changes whenever you like. Change the number or the title and the print stays valid.
What happens to an employee’s card when they leave?
You stop it in one press: its link answers with the company page, their access to the customer ledger and conversations ends, and the numbers they collected stay with the company.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. The QR code works with any phone that has a camera, and an NFC tap works with iPhone 7 and later and most recent Android phones.
Can I try it before committing?
Every plan is paid; instead of a trial, each subscription carries a 14-day money-back guarantee — you build your page and your team’s cards for real, and if it does not suit you, you get the amount back under the terms.
